Hino Motors invests US$100 million in Guanajuato

SILAO – With the commitment of providing commercial vehicles of quality, the Japanese manufacturer, Hino Motors, invested more than US$100 million in its Silao plant in order to manufacture the 500 series truck.
The president and CEO of Hino Motors Sales Mexico, Nozomu Harada, pointed out that for said model, the company forecasts an annual production of 1,500 to 2,000 Â units in the four versions that will integrate it.
The truck will be composed by a JOBE engine from 256 to 276 hp with a torque of 586 foot pounds; its headlights and rearview mirrors will be redesigned and its cabin will provide a reduction in driver movement by 22%.
Finally, the CEO of Hino added that in order to strengthen ties with their customers and reduce the cost of operation, the truck’s financing will have a guarantee of 100 days (from 100 to 400 km traveled).
