MONTERREY — With the purpose of increasing its attractiveness to attract more international companies, Interpuerto Monterrey has carried out different actions focused on trade facilitation, an element that seeks to stand out among the industrial parks on the north of the country.

At the end of last January customs authorities and the local government formally inaugurated the customs section inside the park, an infrastructure that had been carrying out pilot tests since August 2018 and which today performs about 200 operations a day.

"It's been well accepted, there's been good synergy with Kansas City Southern and the park's customers. The idea would be to facilitate trade in a first-world facility," said in an interview with T21, Mauricio Garza Kalifa, general manager of Interpuerto Monterrey.

Interpuerto Monterrey offers to the industry little more than 1,100 hectares of gross leasable area (ABA) in one of the states (Nuevo Leon) with greater industrial and logistic activity, added to the qualified labor, derived from the proximity it has with the border with the United States.
