Jalisco strengthens trade ties with Argentina

Cooperation between Jalisco and Argentina is moving forward with a strategic meeting focused on investment and trade, attended by state officials and the Argentine ambassador to Mexico, with the aim of creating new economic opportunities between the two regions.

The meeting was led by Mauro Garza Marin, General Strategic Coordinator for Economic Growth and Development, and Leandro Fernandez Suarez, Argentina’s Ambassador to Mexico; both agreed on the need to strengthen economic ties given the growth potential of the commercial relationship.

Garza Marin emphasized that the state’s strategy focuses on consolidating international partnerships to attract productive investment, open new markets, and create jobs in sectors critical to the state’s economy.

In the context of the agro-industrial, technology, manufacturing, tourism, and energy sectors, these represent key areas for Jalisco’s economic development by combining productive capacities, innovation, and access to international markets, which strengthens regional competitiveness in a global context marked by the relocation of production chains.

The consolidation of this bilateral relationship opens the door to new joint projects and greater economic integration, positioning Jalisco as a dynamic player in attracting investment and strengthening international trade in Latin America.
