Japan-Aguascalientes alliance promotes industrial growth

JICA is the Japanese government agency responsible for coordinating international development cooperation. Its approach focuses on technical assistance, training, and project financing that enable regions and countries to improve their competitiveness, particularly in the industrial, infrastructure, and sustainability sectors.
The agency’s involvement in Mexico has been linked to specialized training programs, the modernization of production processes, and the strengthening of technical capabilities—elements that are key in a context of supply chain relocation and increased demand for skilled talent.
JICA’s cooperation with Aguascalientes focuses on leveraging Japanese expertise in advanced manufacturing to boost operational efficiency and accelerate technology adoption; through training programs and technical advisory services, the aim is to develop specialized human capital capable of meeting the new demands of the industrial sector, where innovation and automation set the standard.
Aguascalientes is positioning itself as an industrial hub capable of integrating with global trends, at a time when the automotive sector and electric mobility are attracting new investment opportunities.
