Mabe announces US$668 million investment in Mexico

Mabe, a Mexican multinational company that designs, produces and distributes home appliances to more than 70 countries around the world, announced an investment of US$668 million between 2025 and 2027.

The investment was announced during a conference call by President Claudia Sheinbaum, who thanked them for their presence and the investment they are making in the country, at a time when Mexico is facing U.S. tariffs.

In this sense, the Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, pointed out that this investment will be maintained with or without tariffs, being a company that has a great exporting activity to the United States.

"These US$668 million, together with what Mabe has invested since 2023, will bring the total to US$1.1 billion," according to Mabe's General Director of Corporate Affairs, Pablo Moreno, during the conference.

This amount for the biennium until 2027 will not only strengthen innovation, design and product development capabilities, but will also boost the economy, generating opportunities and consolidating the national supply of home appliances.

“We are convinced that Mabe's growth is Mexico's growth. We will continue to innovate and invest for the country, for its talent and for its industrial capacity,” Moreno said.

These investments will be directed to improvements in technology, human capital and sustainable production processes in order to maintain Mexico as a “global benchmark” in the manufacturing of this productive sector and generate more opportunities for economic growth.
