Magnicharters must demonstrate financial solvency

Magnicharters will have to demonstrate financial solvency to avoid the permanent revocation of its operating license and Air Operator Certificate (AOC), according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (AFAC).
“If the required financial solvency is not demonstrated, the concession license and the AOC will be permanently revoked, which would result in the permanent cessation of its commercial operations,” the agency warned.
Since January 2026, AFAC has conducted a technical and administrative audit of Magnicharters, during which findings were identified and reported.
For this reason, AFAC, as the aviation authority, determined the temporary suspension of Magnicharters’ AOC. Additionally, given the identified lack of financial capacity, it was determined that this could pose a risk to operational safety.
The SICT stated that the airline will be granted a period of time to submit a plan addressing the identified findings and ensuring compliance with the necessary conditions to operate safely.
