Marriot to invest over US$14 million in Merida hotel

As part of the hotel industry revival Merida is now experiencing, the international firm Marriot will invest US$14 million, to begin the construction the of a new unit in Merida by December this year, to offer 312 rooms to serve tourists from the congresses and conventions segment. The Secretary of Economic Development in the State, Ernesto Herrera Novelo, explained that the project of this hotel brand will be developed in two stages. During the first one, US$10 million will be allocated for the project, and US$5 million were assigned for the second stage.
