GUANAJUATO—Mazda’s manufacturing plant in Salamanca will reach the production of the 1 millionth vehicle in February 2020, after starting operations on February 26, 2014.

This was said by Miguel Ángel Barbeyto Gómez, president and general director of Mazda Motor of Mexico, upon the re-inauguration of the Mazda Americas distributor, where he also highlighted the ways in which the company has grown its operations in the last 14 years; this on such a level that in 2019 the Japanese brand will sell 60,000 vehicles, thus becoming the seventh biggest auto seller in the country.
