MEXICO  — Mazda's production plant in Mexico will close for approximately 10 days as of March 25th , derived from the crisis by COVID-19, Mazda Motor Corporation reported. “In response to the worldwide spread of the coronavirus, many countries have rapidly and extensively strengthened their infection prevention measures, including the implementation of curfews, suspensions of retail businesses, and restrictions on corporate activities.

As a result, Mazda has decided to adjust production at its facilities worldwide due to difficulties in acquiring parts, sales falling in foreign markets and the uncertainty of future sales, "said the Japanese automaker.

“Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operation in Mexico, will be closed for approximately 10 days as of March 25th, and AutoAlliance Co., Ltd., our production site in Thailand, will suspend the production for a similar period from March 30,”said the automaker.
