Megacable exceeds 6 million subscribers in Mexico

Megacable posted strong results from April through June: during the second quarter of this year, the Guadalajara-based company reported net income of US$47 million, representing an 11.0% year-over-year increase.

Megacable added 112,000 and 119,000 new subscribers in its internet and landline segments, respectively, allowing the company to surpass the 6-million-subscriber mark; which translated into a 7.2% increase in revenue, reaching US$538 million, compared to US$502 million in the same period of 2025.

The company reported 4 million unique video content subscribers, a metric that includes both pay-TV customers and those who subscribe to streaming apps through its platform. Of that total, 3.8 million correspond to the traditional video service, while 2.4 million are subscriptions to streaming apps, with customers potentially counted in both categories.

Megacable reported a 5.9% increase in its EBITDA, which reached US$241 million, in line with the positive trend observed by the company.

This growth allowed the operator to post an EBITDA margin of 44.9%, a metric that reflects the business’s operational efficiency and its ability to convert revenue into operating profit, despite pressures from the sector’s competitive environment.
