Argentinian Company Mercado Libre, dedicated to online transactions among users, is going to open two distribution centers in Mexico as part of its efforts to improve logistics in the Country. Mercado Libre is planning to invest US$100 million to open these centers, which are going to be located in the State of Mexico. The distribution centers will help the Company accelerate delivery times, which is essential to attract electronic commerce. Online sales represent a bit over 3% of total retail sales in Mexico, where buyers are wary of credit card fraud and frequently pay in cash.
