Mercedes-Benz Mexico, a “Great Place to Work”
MEXICO — Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing and Production division, was the only automotive brand with a presence in Mexico certified as a “Great Place to Work” within the “Transnational” category.
According to a statement from Freightliner, Mercedes-Benz’s truck division, one of the organization’s main successes in promoting a positive work ecosystem is its drive towards Wellness: a concept that encourages physical activation and nutrition, emotional health, ergonomics at work and financial well-being.
For his part, Björn Gustrau, director of Sales and Products of the company in Mexico, acknowledged that confidence in local talent was essential to position the company globally. “What comes from Aguascalientes has a quality that is even recognized internationally. That is why it is an important part of our growth strategy in Mexico and the world. ”
For several years, Mercedes-Benz has positioned itself as the number 1 brand in the premium segment, breaking record sales mainly in the light vehicle market. However, 2019 was a year of decline for the brand, as it reduced its sales -11.5%.
