METSO inaugurates its third plant in Guanajuato

IRAPUATO, GTO - The Finnish company Metso inaugurated its third plant in the municipality of Irapuato, after having started its construction at the end of May last year.

The industrial building, with an investment of close to US$40 million, was built in only 8 months, generating more than 70 direct jobs and 40 indirect jobs.This Screen Media Plant will be dedicated to the manufacture of polymer plates for air filter presses.

"METSO is a company that is deeply rooted in Guanajuato and has a great vision for the future," said Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo.

METSO's Sales and Services Manager, Alfredo Monreal, said that expanding operations generates business growth and contributes to community development.

"This plant not only presents an economic investment, but also creates jobs strengthening the social and economic fabric of Irapuato and Guanajuato.

This opening, he added, raises production standards and offers a better option for customers, since in addition to the plant's geographic location in Mexico, which benefits operations in the country, it opens up greater opportunities for the North and Central American market.
