CIUDAD JUAREZ – About 12 companies would be in the process of concreting its expansion in Ciudad Juarez, according to Jaime Campos, Industry director of Secretaría de Innovación y Desarrollo Económico (SIDE) of the State Government.
Although the economic spill that these companies will generate has not been determined, it is expected that this action will provide employment to around 7,000 people.
Campos explained that even though companies like Wrangler have decided to close operations in the state of Chihuahua, there are no red flags, so in addition to expansions, the arrival of new industries in the region is materializing.
The expansion of these 12 companies at the border comes after the closure of at least four companies in the city, according to information from the direction of Promoción de Desarrollo Económico del Estado.
Companies such as Commscope, Werner Ladder, Critikon, Genasco and Heilind, are some of those that could carry out expansions no later than mid next year.
