Morelos Connects Companies with 60 USMEXA Members

The Morelos state government connected local companies with 60 members of the United States-Mexico Business Alliance (USMEXA) trade mission to explore opportunities for business, investment, sourcing, technology transfer, and access to new markets, the state administration reported.

The event, organized by the Federal Ministry of Economy, brought together representatives of the business sector with founders, presidents, and CEOs from the technology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, agro-industrial, tourism, and creative sectors, with the goal of identifying areas of mutual interest and fostering contacts that could lead to business relationships.

Iván Alberto Elizondo Cortina, Undersecretary for Strategic Investments at the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor, emphasized that the state is home to seven industrial parks, 42 research centers and institutes, and 84 institutions of higher education, in addition to production, scientific, and talent-development capabilities that represent advantages for potential investors.

During the event, Secretary of Tourism Daniel Altafi Valladores highlighted the state’s capabilities in business tourism, including its 788 hotels and 12,482 guest rooms, as well as the culinary, cultural, and recreational offerings that complement conventions and corporate meetings.

Meanwhile, César Pérez Herrera, the representative of the Morelos State Executive Branch in Mexico City, has stated that the meeting has helped move from institutional engagement to direct dialogue between U.S. business leaders and representatives from Morelos, noting that in 2025, the state recorded nearly US$1.9 million in international sales.
