Nelson Global Products Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacture of tubular and exhaust products for commercial vehicle markets and Tube Specialties Co., Inc, an industry leader of tube forming for many of the world's largest transportation original equipment manufacturers (OEM's), have combined their "On Highway" operations into one organization, both companies announced in a press release.

Sergio Carvalho, CEO of Nelson Global Products, said this measure "will strengthen our current manufacturing footprint by allowing us to be strategically located near our customers to provide an improved value proposition."

Mark Weyhrich, TSCO's president further stated "We are very excited about combining these companies together under the Nelson Global brand. It is a rare pleasure in the business world when such like-minded management teams have the ability to combine forces to enhance an entire industry for the benefit of their customers, vendors and employees."

The newly combined company will have a broader product offering, expanded capacity, and global reach. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TSCO has been a privately owned business since 1963 and their corporate headquarters is in Troutdale, Oregon.  TSCO has strong relationships with industry leading OEMs that complement Nelson's current customer base. TSCO's manufacturing facilities are located in Troutdale, Oregon; Statesville, North Carolina; and Saltillo, Mexico, where the company supplies products for its Latin American customer base from a 70,000 square feet plant.

Nelson Global Products designs, manufactures, and markets a broad range of high performance exhaust and tubular products for OEM and aftermarket use for the global on-highway, off-highway, and power sports markets. These products include mufflers and silencers; exhaust tube assemblies; EGR and Thermal Management Tubing (TMT) for emissions systems; pressurized tube assemblies for air, hydraulic and lubrication; and structural assemblies.

The company operates a manufacturing and distribution facility in Monterrey, Mexico, just 54 miles east of Saltillo. The plant manufactures precision formed tubing and sheet metal structural fabrications, along with exhaust tubing, mufflers, and emissions system components for its broad range of commercial vehicle and outdoor power customers.

The 180,000 square feet production site is equipped with the latest technology in tube -and flat- bed lasers, as well as manual and robotic welding cells. CNC (computer numerical control) tube benders assure OEM customers of tight tolerance controls and ultimate quality.
