New Generation of the GMC Sierra 1500 Unveiled

General Motors (GM) unveiled a sneak peek at the new generation of GMC Sierra 1500 light-duty pickups, the best-selling model in this luxury division and one of the products with the highest profit margins across its entire brand portfolio.
This premium counterpart to the new Chevrolet Silverado—which was unveiled just a few days ago—features a subtle exterior redesign, an interior with upgraded displays, and a state-of-the-art towing system, as well as a range of world-class powertrains that includes two new V8 engines, a diesel engine exclusive to its segment, and the upgraded TurboMax.
The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 features a new exterior design with sharp, defined lines. Notable features include the evolution of its distinctive front and rear headlights—with available welcome and farewell animations—GMC’s signature fender-contour accent lights, a more vertical grille, available quad exhaust tips, and other trim-specific details that give it a solid and distinctive presence.
Inside, it offers completely redesigned interiors across all trim levels, featuring exclusive color combinations, premium materials, and innovations never before seen in this vehicle.

Highlights include the genuine wood trim available on the Denali Ultimate, the available panoramic sunroof, and the best-in-class standard headroom and legroom in the front row of a Crew Cab in its segment.
The result is a superior cabin that sets the Sierra apart in the market, without compromising durability or capability.
The new available MultiPro center console, with expanded functionality and storage solutions, is designed to meet everyday needs.
When opened, it creates an extended work surface and provides easy access to the available USB charging ports, without compromising the clean, premium look or the comfort customers expect on long drives.
