New One-Stop Shop to streamline procedures

Mexico launched the One-Stop Shop for Foreign Trade Procedures, a tool that consolidates the management of import and export-related processes into a single digital system; the platform will serve as a single point of entry, aiming to reduce the current fragmentation among government agencies and streamline operations for businesses.
One of the central elements is the Single Foreign Trade File, which will allow for the sharing of information among authorities and prevent the duplication of requirements. This mechanism aims to streamline document management and track each transaction within a single system.
For businesses, this change means improved operational efficiency by reducing administrative burdens and making it easier to track procedures. In addition, the interoperability model between systems allows different agencies to work in a coordinated manner without the user having to repeat processes.
In a global environment where speed and process integration are key, the consolidation of these types of systems can influence Mexico’s ability to attract investment and strengthen its role within international supply chains.
