TAMAULIPAS – The government of Tamaulipas inaugurated the production plant of blades for wind turbines, Nordex Acciona, which is expected to generate 800 direct jobs thanks to an investment of more than US$ 1.2 billion.

The building, whose construction was completed in a record time of 6 months, will have 4 shovel production lines for the 4-4.5 MW and 3-3.4 MW segments, making it the first in the world to manufacture both technologies, the most advanced in the world.

The governor of the entity, Francisco Garcia Cabeza de Vaca, stressed that in order to ensure a complete development of the wind energy industry, it is necessary to insist on the creation of more transmission lines to take this resource to more destinations.

Tamaulipas has had the highest growth in wind energy during the last two years after the installation of new parks, which has allowed the entity to increase up to 29 times the generation of wind power.
