Nuevo León and UPS Mexico Partner to Help Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

The Nuevo León Ministry of Economy and UPS Mexico have signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen the logistical and commercial capabilities of the state’s micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and facilitate their access to international markets.

The agreement provides tools, training, and specialized solutions to help local entrepreneurs and business owners streamline their export processes, improve their supply chains, and increase the presence of their products in foreign markets.

Through collaboration, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be able to access simple shipping solutions, as well as specialized consulting services to take advantage of existing trade agreements and opportunities for product demand abroad.

During the event, Nuevo León’s Secretary of Economy, Betsabé Rocha, highlighted the importance of strengthening support for this business sector, which has become even more crucial given the growth of commerce and services in generating employment in the state.

The official also noted that, while manufacturing continues to play a crucial role for Nuevo León and Mexico, a significant portion of the new jobs in the state are the result of commercial and service activities carried out by small businesses.

“That’s where we see a much greater need to support that entire segment,” he added.

He therefore emphasizes that the agreement with UPS Mexico aims to address some of the needs related to companies’ logistics and commercial operations, especially those seeking to export their products.

Through this partnership, the Nuevo León Ministry of Economy and UPS Mexico aim to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with access to tools that will enable them to strengthen their operations and take advantage of business opportunities abroad.
