Nuevo León Surpasses US$135 Billion in New Investments
Nuevo León has surpassed US$135 billion in new domestic and foreign investments, strengthening its position as Mexico’s leading state for attracting capital, according to figures presented during the latest Nuevo León Informa briefing.
The state is now targeting US$150 billion in investments by October, a goal that would represent a significant increase compared with the US$11 billion recorded during the previous state administration.
Nuevo León also leads Mexico in several industrial and labor indicators. Manufacturing accounts for 12.7% of the country’s manufacturing GDP, while the state had approximately 682,000 formal manufacturing jobs and 401,000 IMMEX-related positions as of May 2026. More than 500 large manufacturing companies currently operate in the state.
The investment momentum has been supported by both new projects and expansions by companies already established in Nuevo León. These developments generate demand for industrial land, construction, materials, logistics and other services, further strengthening the state’s industrial ecosystem.
According to the state government, companies evaluating investments in Nuevo León consider factors such as security, water availability, highways, logistics and electricity infrastructure. The state has also highlighted its more than 28-year record without a labor strike as an advantage for industrial operations.
With its US$150 billion target approaching, Nuevo León is seeking to maintain its investment momentum while expanding the infrastructure and resources required to support continued industrial growth.
