OSRAM Continental opens new location in Guadalajara

GUADALAJARA — OSRAM Continental GmbH, a global provider of intelligent lighting solutions for automobiles, celebrated the opening of its new location in Guadalajara.

The 2,100 square meter facility will initially employ around 65 people and will serve as a research and development (R & D) center to support companies in the Americas region.

Dr. Dirk Linzmeier, CEO of OSRAM Continental GmbH was present to commemorate the event along with other company leaders, employees and local dignitaries. "This facility is an important addition to our global R & D initiatives focused on intelligent automotive lighting solutions for the evolving automotive market," said Linzmeier.

"As automotive lighting continues to evolve from a basic function to a highly sophisticated feature, we provide our customers the opportunity to differentiate their products with lighting design," said Julian Dench, director of the Americas region and managing director of OSRAM Continental Mexico, who also attended the event.

Since OSRAM Continental started operations in July 2018, the company has a new and innovative role play in the automotive lighting industry with the aim of shaping the future of mobile lighting.

As digitalization continues to transform the automotive industry, the company is well positioned to use its combined expertise to offer intelligent lighting solutions to its global customers.
