Passengers’ traffic grows in Nuevo Laredo

NUEVO LAREDO — During the first two months of 2019, the Nuevo Laredo Airport increased its passenger flow by 29.3%, accounting for a total of 11,623 passengers.

Similarly, the aerodrome recorded an increase in freight transport to record the mobilization of 26,746 kilograms of goods in the first two months of the year, which is 30.6% more compared to 2018, when they mobilized 20,487 kilograms.

There was an increase of 4.6% in air operations, from 409 to 428. Nuevo Laredo airport which was incorporated into the ASA network in 1972, has an area of 235 hectares and its platform for commercial aviation occupies 13,500 square meters.

It should be noted that, in December of last year, Organización Civil Internacional and Dirección General de la Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC) granted, for the third time, the Certificate of Conformity in matters of Operational Safety to this air terminal.

It is expected that with the obtaining of this third certificate, the DGAC will issue a third Public Service Civil Aerodrome Certificate valid until 2022 for the border airport.
