Nissan officially launched mass production of the new Infiniti QX65 at its Smyrna, Tennessee, plant, which has been in operation for more than four decades and has been producing vehicles for this luxury division for nearly 15 years.
The two-row midsize SUV is a “fastback” version of the QX60, which is produced at the same plant alongside the Nissan Pathfinder, and will arrive at dealerships in the neighboring country in early summer with a starting price (MSRP) of $54,000.
“The assembly of a completely new Infiniti model in Tennessee highlights the strength of our manufacturing operations and the team behind them,” said David Johnson, senior vice president of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, and Purchasing for Nissan Americas.
