Progress in Manufacturing, Trade, and Construction in Puebla.

Puebla has reported growth in its economic activities, including manufacturing, construction, and exports, according to the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor (Sedetra).

Victor Gabriel Chedraui, head of Sedestra, noted that the state’s economic activity has grown by 3.1%, while the manufacturing sector has grown by 8%, retail trade by 4.13%, goods for sale by 4.96%, and construction by 24.6%; in addition, the state’s exports continue to show year-over-year growth.

As a result, Puebla ranks second nationally on three economic indicators and fifth nationally in overall economic performance.

The state official has highlighted this result as a “positive and sustained trend” in the state, positioning it as one of the country's main drivers of growth.

According to the official data presented by Sedetra via the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), the construction sector had an increase of 24.6% in a total revenue, placing Puebla in second place nationwide.

The manufacturing industries posted a growth of 8%, while the Quarterly State Economic Activity Indicator (ITAEE) rose the 3.1%, placing Puebla in fifth place nationwide in terms of overall economic performance.

Víctor Gabriel Chedraui emphasized that this performance as a direct result of the combined efforts of made by the state’s productive sectors and the government strategies that have been implemented.

He highlights that strengthening the domestic market and creating opportunities for families in Puebla are key goals have been advanced through initiatives in infrastructure, tourism promotion, fairs, exhibitions, and events with national and international reach.
