Puebla announces historic investment

Puebla Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier announced a historic investment of US$98 million, earmarked for the implementation of 14 programs that will benefit more than 275,000 agricultural producers in the state.
He emphasized that his administration understands the importance of supporting producers who lack the resources to plant their fields and face food insecurity, while also highlighting the importance of modernizing agriculture so that more than 400,000 farming families can generate wealth on their land.
The Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ana Laura Altamirano Perez, noted that among the most significant strategies is the “Security for the Countryside” program, which this year represents an investment of US$23 million and includes mechanization services across more than 200,000 hectares.
As part of the Strategic Inputs for Production Program, Armenta has led seven events to deliver support to the agricultural sector.
