Queretaro doubles flights & launches new routes

Authorities in Queretaro announced the expansion of the Queretaro-Madrid flight route, operated by Iberojet, which will increase from one to two weekly flights following high demand during its first months of operation.
Between January and March 2026, 8,600 passengers were recorded, with an average load factor of 82.8%.
The state tourism secretary, Adriana Vega Vazquez Mellado, noted that the increase is due to the route’s favorable performance and the European market’s interest in establishing ties with the state.
“Air connectivity is a key factor for tourism and economic development. This growth confirms Queretaro’s progress in integrating with global markets,” said Vazquez.
In addition, Volaris announced the launch of 11 new air routes, which will begin operations in the middle of the year and strengthen the Bajio region’s connectivity with domestic and US destinations.
The new connections include flights to Acapulco, Durango, Mazatlan, Oaxaca, Guadalajara, and Veracruz, as well as to Dallas, Denver, San Antonio, Orlando, and Houston, which will expand travel options for both business and leisure travelers.
