Queretaro strengthens ties with Finland

QUERETARO – The governor of Queretaro, Mauricio Kuri Gonzalez, met with the Ambassador of Finland in Mexico, Her Excellency Mrs. Päivi Pohjanheimo, with the purpose of strengthening ties for the benefit of both nations.

During the meeting, Kuri highlighted the actions promoted by the state administration for sustainable development, such as the decarbonization of the economy, as well as the promotion of practices that contribute to compliance with the Law for Prevention, Integral Management and Circular Economy.

Therefore, the state president reiterated the conviction to work in the generation of conditions for entrepreneurs to see Queretaro as an option to settle. On this occasion, he expressed interest in learning about environmentally friendly practices that have been adopted in Finland.

For her part, the Finnish ambassador recognized the competitive advantages of Queretaro, highlighting the levels of security enjoyed by the state, as well as its strategic location and its connectivity with various trading partners.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of Cabinet, Rogelio Vega Vázquez Mellado; the minister of Sustainable Development, Marco Del Prete Tercero; the Coordinator of International Relations and Government Innovation, Hildegard Frei Nieto, among others.
