Saint-Gobain is celebrating 20 years in Mexico
The French provider of glass and materials for the automotive and construction industries, Saint-Gobain, celebrated its 20 anniversary in Mexico, at the manufacturing plant in Cuautla, Morelos. Pierre-Andre de Chalendar, President and General Director of the corporation, commented that the company has invested US$66 million over the last three years for the Sekurit Sector of its Cuautla Industrial Park plant, which increased the production capacity, accomplishing glass production for three million vehicles. Two out of every three windshields will be manufactured in Morelos. There was also announced a US$60 million investment for the expansion of the Construction Section, to serve this market with a new layered glass product of high added value.
