MONTERREY – The energy company Schneider Electric inaugurated its first smart factory in Nuevo León, with an investment of US$37 million.
"La Smart Factory integrates the design and implementation of its operations with an industrial digital scheme, through Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) solutions, using the EcoStruxure platform", informed Enrique González Haas, president and CEO of the firm.
He mentioned that said platform allows customers and users to make decisions based on data that produce better profitability, higher performance in asset management and helps to keep operations safe and agile.
González Haas explained that this factory expects to increase between 20% and 30% the workforce, and to achieve a 100% growth in turnover with respect to 2018 as well as to transfer some production lines to this location.
“Therefore, we announced an additional investment of US$9 million for the execution of these projects," he added.
