Stellantis to Suspend Production of the Jeep Wagoneer S

Stellantis will not produce an updated version of the Jeep Wagoneer S electric SUV for the 2026 model year. However, the vehicle will be relaunched as a 2027 model with significant updates.

The multinational automaker revealed this to AutoNews, confirming reports that it would reduce production volume of the brand’s first zero-emission off-road vehicle “to support future improvements in battery performance, software, and other capabilities.”

Jeep announced that it plans to relaunch the Wagoneer S as a 2027 model, although it is not yet known when production will resume at the Toluca assembly plant.

It is worth noting that as recently as last month, the company reported to INEGI that more than 3,300 units had been produced at the Mexico State complex.

Among the updates for the 2027 model is the inclusion of a NACS (North American Charging Standard) port to connect the vehicle to Tesla’s fast-charging networks.
