“Sustainable Initiative” gathers 180 companies in Mexico

The "2026 Sustainable Initiative", led by Quartux, currently includes 180 leading companies actively participating in the process, and more than 100 formal proposals have already been submitted—an indicator that confirms the manufacturing sector’s growing interest in contributing to the energy transition and moving toward energy efficiency and decarbonization initiatives.

The "Sustainable Initiative" is a pioneering program focused on modernizing energy management and consumption at 50 companies in Mexico’s industrial sector through energy storage systems, smart software, and certifications, continuously providing the technological and consulting tools necessary to mitigate grid congestion, reduce costs, and meet international energy management standards.

Among the participating companies, there is a strong presence of energy-intensive industries with high exposure to export markets, as they belong to sectors critical to the national economy, including automotive and auto parts, hospitality and tourism, retail, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, paper and packaging, composite materials for the automotive, aerospace, and wind energy industries, steel and metallurgy, and the manufacture of construction and aerospace products.

The diversity of participating industries confirms that energy sustainability has become a strategic priority for Mexico’s economy, with a marked predominance in manufacturing.

As a result, the Sustainable Initiative has established itself as one of the most significant coordination efforts between the private sector and the energy sustainability sector in the country, with the potential to become a replicable model for strengthening the national electricity system.
