Swiss investment in Mexico hits record of US$2.3 billion

Swiss investment in Mexico reached a record US$2.3 billion by 2025, cementing Switzerland’s position as the sixth-largest foreign investor in the country, according to the Swiss-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SwissCham Mexico).

In the context of Swiss National Day in Mexico, Francisco Martinez, president of the business organization, highlighted the extraordinary momentum currently driving bilateral relations. Martinez also announced that new Swiss capital investments totaling approximately US$1.24 billion are projected for 2026, focused on the food, chemical, and manufacturing sectors.

SwissCham Mexico noted that these resources will strengthen supply chains, generate high-value-added jobs, and consolidate Mexico’s position as a strategic global platform for exports and technological development.

Martinez emphasized that the organization he leads seeks to contribute to the country’s economic development through innovation, sustainability, and new investments that strengthen the competitiveness of both countries.
