Tecco invests US$42 million in San Luis Potosi

SAN LUIS POTOSI - Tecco, a Chinese company of the Himile group, laid the first stone of its new industrial plant in San Luis Potosí.

The event was presided by the governor of the entity, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona and the president of TECCO Mexico, Ionut Buzelan, as well as the director of the WTC Industrial Park, Michele Porrino Pelassi.

The new plant will be located within the WTC Industrial Park and will be dedicated to the manufacture of molds and tire machinery equipment, supplying Tier 1 companies located in the Bajio region, such as Michelin, Pirelli (both in Leon, Guanajuato), Continental and Bridgestone (both in San Luis Potosi).

The plant will have an investment of US$42 million and will generate close to 400 new direct jobs.

The governor thanked the company for its commitment to San Luis Potosi and announced that this year will be one of the most important for the state, with investments of more than US$3 billion.
