MEXICO CITY - The central region of the country, made up of the State of Mexico, Mexico City and Hidalgo, will have an aerospace cluster, informed the Secretary of Economic Development of the Government of the State of Mexico, Laura González Hernández.

During the inauguration of the International Aviation Exhibition and Convention, Aeroexpo 2024, the state official, on behalf of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, highlighted the importance of boosting the country's aeronautical industry.

“It is a growing industry, which has been strengthening over time and that the State of Mexico today is betting on it to grow and settle here, to see opportunities in this state,” she said.

During her inaugural speech, the state official said that she could not say much about this topic, due to the electoral ban, but pointed out that the State of Mexico is and will continue to be a great destination for investment.

Regarding the aerospace cluster, he said that it will allow adding strategies so that every day more companies in this sector see the State of Mexico as a great destination for investment and above all, a destination with future, present and long term.

“This project will lead us to where we want to go and where we want to advance, with a strategy of growth and development, but sustainable and sustainable,” she said.

González Hernández highlighted the importance of holding the Aeroexpo at the Toluca International Airport (AIT), due to the fact that it is located in one of the most populated states in the country.
