Princess Hisako of Takamado of Japan arrived in Nuevo Leon to attend the 1,000th match in the history of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, against the Tunisian national team.

Although the Princess's agenda is private, it has been reported that she will participate in various diplomatic and cultural activities, including a planned visit to Chipinque Ecological Park, where she will meet with the players and coach of the Japanese national soccer team.

The Princess also shared that she will visit the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Tec de Monterrey), where she will hold a discussion with the community with the aim of strengthening ties between the two countries.

This is Princess Hisako of Takamado’s first visit to the Monterrey metropolitan area, marking a historic moment for diplomatic relations between the state and Japan.
