Unilever: New plant in Nuevo Leon

Unilever views Nuevo Leon as a strategic hub for its industrial growth, supported by local talent and advanced production capabilities.
The project was designed to integrate state-of-the-art technology into its production processes, enabling the company to operate to high quality standards, optimize resources, and respond more quickly to the needs of different markets.
One of the key factors in the investment decision has been the human capital available in the state. Unilever acknowledged the support provided by authorities and organizations such as Invest Monterrey to facilitate the project’s implementation; collaboration is essential for investments of this magnitude to translate into tangible economic development.
The project will be developed in the municipality of Salinas Victoria as part of Unilever’s strategy to strengthen its operations in North America: the complex will focus on the production of personal care products from well-known brands such as Dove and Sedal.
In its first phase, Unilever plans to invest more than US$800 million to drive industrial development, job creation, and the integration of suppliers in the region.
