VW will maintain plants in Mexico and open more in the U.S.

Volkswagen informed that they will maintain they plants in Mexico, besides keeping the promise to produce electric vehicles in EEUU, even though Donald Trump is pressuring to suspend automotive production in Mexico. On the other hand, Herbert Diess, a Volkswagen executive, was asked whether the company will maintain its Puebla factories. He answered that he wouldn't think Trump would want them to manufacture cars just to export to Mexico. Diess expressed that “Mexico is also a major market for us" while pointing out that VW has not been in contact with the U.S. President-elect as of now.
