Yucatán Announces US$462.4 Million in Private Investment

Yucatán Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena has announced US$462.4 million in domestic and international private investment across eight projects and two expansions, which are expected to generate 14,488 direct and indirect jobs in six municipalities.

During the presentation of the investment portfolio, the governor emphasized that security, infrastructure, and local talent help build domestic and international companies’ confidence in establishing operations and expanding their presence in the state.

The projects span the food and beverage, manufacturing, real estate development, tourism, retail, services, and healthcare sectors and will be carried out in Mérida, Kanasín, Progreso, Valladolid, Akil, and Yaxcabá.

Díaz Mena reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to facilitating investment projects and streamlining the related administrative procedures.

According to state government data, these projects form part of the private investment portfolio managed by the Secretariat of Economy and Labor (SETY), which comprises 88 projects at various stages of development, representing more than US$8.1 billion in planned investment. The monitoring process also involves engaging with local talent and suppliers.
