Yura Corporation inaugurates new plant in Durango

DURANGO - The new plant of Yura Corporation, a Korean Tier 1 company dedicated to the production of harnesses, high voltage connectors and electrical components, was inaugurated in Lerdo, Durango. This new factory starts operations thanks to an investment of US$4.7 million, generating 900 new jobs in the region.

Since March 2024, the Government of Durango was in talks with Yura Corporation to finalize the installation of the company, projecting the creation of 700 direct jobs, but due to the high labor capacity of the region, it was decided to increase this figure to 900 jobs.

In this regard, the Governor said that he will meet with the owner of this Tier 1, in order to expand it in different parts of the state and thus generate more jobs.

"We agreed to change the face of La Laguna in the industrial sector and here is the real sample, the first 900 jobs are in Lerdo, of which 500 are already working, and there are many more surprises to come," said Governor Esteban Alejandro Villegas Villarreal during the inauguration.

For his part, the director of Yura Corporation, Dong Hoon Min, indicated that Yura is growing, it is a company that works with KIA in Mexico and the growth every year is going to be faster.

During the inauguration ceremony, representatives of the South Korean company Yura Corporation were present, including director Dong Hoon Min and Human Resources manager Jaepil Han. Both expressed their gratitude to the local authorities for the facilities provided for the installation of this new branch in La Laguna.
