Hammond Power Solutions opens its fourth plant in Nuevo León
GUADALUPE, NL - The Canadian firm Hammond Power Solutions (HPS) inaugurated its fourth plant, located in the municipality of Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, with an investment of US$13.6 million. This plant will manufacture electrical transformers and generate 450 jobs.
HPS is the largest manufacturer of dry-type transformers in North America, and also produces reactors and filters.
It develops products for the renewable energy industry, commercial infrastructure, industrial markets, mining and construction, petrochemicals and manufacturing.
"Investment announcements are always very good news for Nuevo León, but also a commitment to continue working and offering what companies need," said Iván Rivas Rodríguez, state Secretary of Economy.
The event was led by the company's CEO, Adrian Thomas, and plant manager, Abraham Macias.
Special guests included the Consul General of Canada in Monterrey, Sandra Shaddik; the director of Grupo Inmobiliario ARENDE, Horacio Lozano, and the Undersecretary of Investment, Emmanuel Loo.
