IMMSA inaugurates plant in Coahuila

COAHUILA - The governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, inaugurated the new IMMSA Norte plant, with an investment of US$25 million.

This project will generate 130 direct jobs and will be dedicated to the manufacture of steel structures for train cars, supplying both domestic and foreign companies.

The plant is located in the industrial zone of the Central Region of Coahuila and represents an important step forward for IMMSA, which is celebrating 43 years of operations in Mexico.

This development is the result of a strategic alliance with SAMUEL, a company specialized in the manufacture of rail cars, which strengthens the production capacity of both companies in the competitive Mexican market.

During the inauguration, the governor emphasized that each investment brings with it the generation of new jobs, essential tools for the progress of the community.

“Education and employment are fundamental for people to prosper,” he said.

In addition, he emphasized that these types of projects strengthen Coahuila's competitiveness and position Monclova as a hub for the railroad industry.

Axel Munch, director of IMMSA, emphasized that the IMMSA Norte plant represents a significant opportunity for Coahuila's industrial growth.

“This project reaffirms our commitment to the development of the region and our focus on the production of railroad components,” he said.

Colin Ousbourne, representative of SAMUEL, also highlighted the importance of this collaboration, which will enhance the presence of both companies in the market and contribute to the economic development of Coahuila.
