Mars Incorporated gears up for its second pet food manufacturing plant in Queretaro, which is scheduled to start operation in mid-2018. For that end, the company plans to recruit its first 80 employees coming October 10.
The new US$ 50 million facility is currently under construction in a green field adjacent to its first plant, opened in 1995. The new plant is expected to double the company’s output capacity in Queretaro, said an official to local media without providing figures or further detail.
The company will host a massive recruiting at the Centro Cultural Manuel Gomez Morin in Queretaro next Tuesday October 10 with more than 80 jobs openings for technicians during its first phase. A total 500 workers will be recruited when the plant becomes fully operational by 2020.
Mars employs 3,700 associates at six production facilities in Mexico among chocolate, candy and pet food factories. Some of the brands the company produces in Mexico are Snickers, M&M, Twix, Dove, Milky Way, Skittles, Wrigley, Pedigree, Whiskas, Cesar and Royal Canin.
