Grupo KABB inaugurates second stage of Axis Industrial Park in Jalisco

JALISCO - Grupo KABB inaugurated the second stage of the Axis Industrial Park in Tonalá, Jalisco, after a total investment of US$500 million. This industrial complex is designed to house leading local and international technology companies and generate more than 10,000 jobs in the region.

During the inauguration, Roberto Álvarez Silva, CEO of Grupo KABB, announced that the project contemplates a third stage with an additional investment of US$700 million, which will allow reaching 20,000 jobs and a total area of 640,000 square meters.

“This consolidates us as a key center for industry and logistics in our country,” said Álvarez Silva.

The governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus Navarro, who participated in the event, affirmed that the state's economic stability will allow doubling the growth of the national GDP.

“GDP in 2024 grew by 0.6%, while the growth expectation for this year at the national level is 0.8%. In Jalisco, we estimate to grow between 1.5% and 2%,” he said.

He also emphasized that industrial development in the state will contribute to surpass the goal of 600 thousand square meters of industrial parks projected for this year.

Cindy Blanco Ochoa, Jalisco's Secretary of Economic Development, highlighted that the state's economic strategy is focused on five key sectors: software, automotive, health, agribusiness and semiconductors. She also mentioned that the federal government has confirmed that Jalisco will host a new semiconductor production center, strengthening its industrial positioning.

The mayor of Tonalá, Sergio Chávez Dávalos, emphasized the positive impact of the Axis Industrial Park in the municipality due to its strategic location, which will attract new investments. He also announced that the municipality will donate a piece of land to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) for the construction of an electrical substation that will guarantee the supply of energy to the eastern zone of Tonalá.

With this expansion, Axis Industrial Park reinforces the industrial infrastructure of Jalisco and consolidates the region as a pole of attraction for new investments, boosting employment and economic growth in the state.
