Mazatlan Logistic Center ready to receive its first customers

Mazatlan Logistic Center (MLC) already has 87% of its first phase lots sold, informed Juan Jose Arellano Hernandez, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Arhe.

During a tour with government representatives, the businessman informed that the company Paquete Express is one of the first tenants, having chosen MLC as its work center with all the necessary requirements.

“In addition, Asian and American companies will move in once the overpass over the Mazatlán-Culiacán highway is completed.”

In this context, Arellano Hernandez stated that this work will allow Mazatlan, Sinaloa, to become one of Mexico's geographical highlights.

“It will bring Mazatlan back to its true origins, being one of the most important ports in terms of logistics and growth.

Mazatlán Logistic Center is a logistics hub located on the Mazatlán-Culiacán highway, north of the municipality, at kilometer 10+700.

It has 81 lots available in its initial stage, which comprises 80 hectares so far. Of these, 62.2 hectares have already been sold and 60 hectares more are expected to be available in the second phase by 2026.

According to the chairman of the board, this project required an investment of US$37.6 million for the development of the park and US$7.5 million for the overpass.

It should be noted that its infrastructure will allow its use as a Strategic Bonded Warehouse, which is already authorized in Mexico and will be able to hold merchandise for up to two years.

“The project is designed for warehousing and distribution of 60% and 40% for light industry, in addition to a condominium regime,” said Arellano.

Finally, he pointed out that Mazatlán Logistic Center will facilitate distribution to the United States in 12 hours; 10 hours to the Bajío, Central Mexico, Monterrey and Chihuahua, and six hours to Guadalajara.
