Beaver Manufacturing Co. Inc., a Georgia-based manufacturer of industrial fiber for the reinforcement of hose and mechanical rubber goods, opened a new plant in Tepeji, Hidalgo. The amount of investment, as well as the job openings related to the new operation remained undisclosed.

The facility will expand Beaver’s global presence and increases its converting capacity of meta- and para-aramid, rayon and polyester products that support automotive, oil and gas and other industrial applications in Mexico and South America, said the company in a statement.

The headquarters and main facility in Mansfield will continue to operate in its full capacity. The addition of the Mexico plant will complement operations at the main facility without disruption and help the company efficiently handle projections for growth, Beaver said.

The new plant will be in a prime location for expanding the company's aramid product market, with major growth projected in Mexico and South America for the automotive and oil and gas industries, Mike Dubin, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Beaver, said in the statement.
