Housing plan in Nuevo Leon: 15% achieved

Edna Vega, head of the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development (SEDATU), reported that 17 projects are already underway in the state, with 11,380 housing units under construction, representing 15% of the state’s target.

During a segment on President Claudia Sheinbaum’s morning press conference, the official handed over homes to eligible recipients and noted that this effort will involve an investment exceeding US$2.666 billion.

Likewise, the governor of Nuevo Leon, Samuel Garcia, highlighted the importance of promoting housing near urban centers with better living conditions, noting that it represents “a great opportunity to continue growing sustainably.”

For his part, INFONAVIT Director General Octavio Romero reported that so far during the current federal administration, the agency has launched 76 housing developments under construction in various states across the country, and that nearly 17,000 homes have already been allocated to eligible beneficiaries.
