Tamaulipas & Spain invest in technological development

To strengthen economic, commercial, and technological cooperation ties between Tamaulipas and Spain, Secretary of Economy Ninfa Cantu Deandar held a working meeting with Spain’s ambassador to Mexico, Juan Duarte Cuadrado, within the framework of the Modernized Global Agreement between Mexico and the European Union.

During the meeting, Cantu highlighted opportunities for collaboration in strategic sectors such as agro-industry and agri-food, as well as in innovation, technology transfer, efficient water management, sustainability, the circular economy, and the strengthening of value chains.

They also discussed the interest in promoting cooperation and investment in the automotive, electrical-electronic, and information technology clusters—key areas for the state’s industrial development.

Spain represents a strategic ally for strengthening knowledge exchange, promoting high-value-added projects, and expanding opportunities for cooperation among business organizations, academic institutions, and research centers in both regions.
