Tamaulipas & EMERSON team up to attract investment

Tamaulipas Secretary of Economy, Ninfa Cantu Deandar paid a working visit to the facilities of the company EMERSON in Nuevo Laredo as part of the strategy to maintain ongoing engagement with the maquiladora sector, where she presented the incentives, programs, and support initiatives available to strengthen investment, competitiveness, and local supply chains.
During the meeting with the company’s executives and management, the secretary emphasized the importance of maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the industry to understand its needs and create conditions that foster its growth and continued presence in Tamaulipas.
At the meeting, the Secretary of Economy presented the various incentives, programs, and support schemes—including loans targeted at the productive sector—with the aim of boosting new investments, strengthening established companies, and promoting the development of local suppliers.
EMERSON employs approximately 700 workers in Nuevo Laredo and, according to the Ministry of Economy, stands out for its employee care and development practices, reflected in low employee turnover rates.
As part of the visit, Cantu toured the production areas accompanied by members of the company’s management team, where he learned about operational processes and greeted the staff, whom he recognized for their effort and commitment to strengthening the industry in the region.
