NIFCO invests US$8.8 million in Chihuahua

The Japanese company Nifco has opened a second plant in Chihuahua, a project representing an investment of approximately US$8.8 million, according to the state government.

After 21 years in Chihuahua, the company is expanding its operations to support current and future programs in the automotive industry, thereby increasing its manufacturing capacity and providing greater flexibility in its production processes.

The new facility features plastic injection molding processes, manual and automated assembly lines, material handling, warehouses, offices, and auxiliary systems to support production, thereby strengthening its role in the automotive supply chain.

Today, the company provides 420 direct jobs and expects to create 150 additional positions over the next five years as part of its growth plans.

The event was attended by several representatives from the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), as well as the Chihuahua Economic Development Agency (Prodech).
